We will be traveling to Switzerland this week and are interested in purchasing the Swiss Half Fare Card when arriving. Would we also get a discount on purchasing the Bernese Oberland Regional Pass with the card? Also can we use the half fare card and regional pass together for combined discounts?

Hello schmawnie! Yes, holders of a Swiss Half Fare Card can buy a 20% discounted Regional-Pass Bernese Oberland. However, you can use only one pass (the one providing most discount) for each trip and discounts can’t be combined. So in most cases, it’s too expensive to buy two different passes. I don’t know your exact travel plans, but I think your Swiss Half Fare Card should be enough. If you want to be sure, you can calculate whether an additional Regional-Pass is worth your money.
