Last year in Switzerland we used the half price card in conjunction with another ticket. Can’t remember exactly what this was and going again next month. It was a ticket that Swiss friends had bought us with about 10 journeys that gave more discount or perhaps free travel? Does anyone know what this could have been?

    Hello Lmcd18,

Thanks for joining MySwissAlps! The 10 journey ticket does not ring a bell with me. It may have been multiple 1-day travelpasses, that can be purchased as an add-on to Half Fare Cards (see here). But it may also have been a completely separated pass, not related to the Swiss Half Fare Card, like the Regional-Pass Bernese Oberland (there is a 10 day version).

More passes can be found here.

Many thanks, i think it was the stamp card of 1 day passes right enough. I think I’ll need to work out what is cheapest for the days we are in Switzerland. Is SBB own site best for train ticket prices using the half price card discount?

    Hi Lmcd18,

You’re welcome! Prices can indeed be found through the SBB timetable. That timetable is included on this page, which also explains a bit more about how to use it and how to find prices. This page explains how to pick a pass that results in the lowest travel expenses.
