Hi, we are going to be in Paris and then go from Paris to Interlaken ost. Will Swiss travel pass cover it once we get to Basel or whatever border town would be best?

I’m confused, because if I just take a quick look on the rail Europe website it shows Basel to Interlaken as costing 12 dollars??

    Hi rainman,

Yes, anything from Basel onward is covered (see the Swiss Travel Pass map). You do not need tickets if you have a Swiss Travel Pass. If you are going to book a ticket anyway, Rail Europe and most other websites will include a seat reservation (not needed either), and that’s what you pay for. All you need is the pass. Pass purchase options are listed here.
