We want to buy a Swiss Saver Pass for 3 people traveling together. However one person is from UK and 2 are from Australia. There are different rules on the activating of the pass for residents of UK to residents of Australia.

We will be meeting in Zurich and catching the 1st train together but there will not be a lot of time to spare. If UK resident buys the pass there is no need to activate the pass according to this website. Is this true if other 2 are not from UK ? Non-UK residents have to show passports normally.

    Hello ozcouple,

If you buy through STC UK you can activate your pass yourself (filling out the traveler names and passport numbers). You can do so before you leave, so that indeed allows you to have a quick transfer from plane to train for all travelers. Also, buying through STC is currently cheaper than buying in Australia.

    Enjoy your stay!
