    Hi

I am looking to travel between Geneva and Grindewald. My understanding is I would have to do the following:

    Geneva to Bern

    Bern to Interlaken Ost

Interlaken Ost to Grindewald (via another station most likely)

There are so many pass options… how do I know which pass is the most economical and yet covers the routes we need.

    Regards

    Badi

    Hi Badi, welcome to MySwissAlps!

Yes, that’s indeed the quickest route. Alternatively you can travel via the scenic Golden Pass route, via Montreux and Zweisimmen. But that takes longer. Details of all train journeys can be found in the timetable.

A popular pass for the Bernese Oberland, which is where Grindelwald is, is the Regional-Pass Bernese Oberland. How to pick the best pass depends on your exact plans during your entire stay. It is explained in this guide. Another pass that may make sense is the Swiss Pass and the Swiss Card. If you compare these 3 passes as explained in the guide, you’ll quickly see which one is best.
