    Hi,

We are family of four, and plan to buy swiss pass/family pass.

But we will take train from Paris to Switzerland, and from Switzerland
to Salzburg, Vienn, then Munich and Fussen.

Should we buy other passes, or simply euro pass instead of swiss pass?

    Thank,

    NP

Hello NP. Generally, the Swiss Pass is better if you intend to travel quite a lot in Switzerland. That’s because the Swiss Pass covers more than Eurail Pass variants including Switzerland. So if you’ll only be making the trips in France, Austria and Germany you mention in this post, it would be best to buy a Swiss Pass and regular train tickets for the remaining trips in the other countries. Otherwise you’d have to buy a Eurail Pass covering these countries too, but that would only be cost effective if you’d plan on doing more than just those trips.
