Traveling to switzerland from Amsterdam, then on to Paris. Flexible dates of travel and where to visit. I think Swiss travel pass? Do we also need, or should we get transfer ticket. Still not clear what transfer ticket is for?

    Hi Heather,

The Swiss Transfer Ticket is bough to cover any trip from the Swiss border to any Swiss town. This makes sense when you are staying in one town only while in Switzerland (popular for skiers who go straight to a ski resort from the airport for example).

You would indeed be best off I think with the Swiss Travel Pass as it will cover almost all train trips you may make within Switzerland and there is no need to buy any other tickets – just hop in the train and go.

Have a read through the pages I linked and let us know if you have further questions!

    Lucas
