Can I buy a Swiss Travel Pass and then travel for instance Zermatt to St. Moritz and use it to travel on a regular train and not on the panoramic Glacier Express and avoid the seat reservation charge?

    Thank you

Yes, you can use the Swiss Travel Pass to cover the ticket on that route on either the regional trains or the panoramic Glacier Express Train. You will then save the reservation fee if you don’t travel on the panoramic train.

The main difference using regional trains (apart from not having panoramic windows and not requiring reservations) is that there is no single direct train. To travel the route using regional trains, you need to change trains in Visp, Andermatt, Disentis/Mustér and Reichenau-Tamins.
