We have Swiss Travel Passes and we will be travelling from Varenna-Esino to St Moritz. Do I need to buy regional train tickets for the Varenna-Esino to Tirano portion? I see on the sbb.ch site that tickets are available to buy from Varenna-Esino to St Moritz. That makes it seem like our Swiss Travel Passes will work for the whole route, but I’m not sure as the Varenna-Tirano portion is in Italy.

    Hi Canadarocks,

Your Swiss Travel Pass covers Tirano to St. Moritz, so you don’t need anything from the SBB site. The ticket from Varenna to Tirano can be purchased locally or through the websites listed here for about CAD 15.
