    Hi

We would be travelling to Switzerland in the month of Nov, and would like to check whether the swiss flexi pass is an option for us (two person) to purchase.
We would be going for 6D5N, coming in from Paris and departing to Italy, in the month of Nov
Can advice whether the plan is possible

3rd Nov: Depart from Paris, to Switzerland, LAUSANNE to Lucerne

4th Nov: Lucerne to Mt. Titlis,

5th Nov: Lucerne to Mt Rigi or Mt Pilatus (not sure whether the transporation up to Mt Pilatus is closed, till dec, then is opened), can advice

6th Nov: Lucerne to Interlaken and then to Jungfrau, knowing that the trip will be about 4 hrs, is it worth to stay overnight in Interlaken on the previous day?
After visiting Jungfrau, on the way down via Lauterbrunnen/Wengen. we would also like to go visit Lauterbrunnen Valley, (can this be possible)

7th Nov: Plan to take one of the scenic routes, golden pass from Lucerne to Montreux, from there visit the Chateau de Chillon, is the admission tickets also included in the Swiss flex pass.

8th Nov: Depart from Lucerne to Italy, is there any train from lucerne station going towards Italy?

Would like to check, if we have the swiss flex pass, how do we go about purchasing the Golden Pass route (Lucerne to Montreux, is it via thru internet)

Thanks for the advice in advance.. 🙂

Hi winter, and welcome to our website,

I would recommend some changes in the order to save traveling time: Lausanne is close to Montreux and the Château de Chillon, so you can best cover that first. Then take the southern Golden Pass leg to Interlaken and visit the Jungfrau from there. Finally take the northern Golden Pass leg to Lucerne.

All trains, cable cars, buses and their traveling times are in the timetable. You can also visit the individual websites of Titlis, Rigi and Pilatus to check for schedules. November is indeed a month with a lot of closed cable cars because it is low season.

Details and a list of resellers of the Swiss Flexi Pass can be found here. The Golden Pass route does not need to be booked in advance unless you want to travel on the GoldenPass Panoramic train. In that case you need a seat reservation in addition to a free travel day on your pass. More about seat reservation is here.

This is a very good suggestion! It’s good to ask before you travel about the travelling routes therefore you can save time and maybe money just by using a better “strategy” 😉 These places must be really pretty. I heard Château de Chillon is really nice. I also want to see Interlaken some day…. if I remember right there are also some festivals during the summer in this area.
