    Hi!

My family of 4 will be in central Switzerland for 5 days in June and I have several questions. Should we go to all three mountains ( Pilatus, Riga, and Titlis) and then spend one day in Luzern? What should we do the last day? The Tell Pass will allow 2 free days of unlimited travel and 50% off the other days. Does the free days include the round trips of all the mountains? Would that include the “fun things” like Rope Park at Pilatus for free too? What should be used for the 2 free days and what else should we do/see in this area? Any help will be appreciated!

    Mary

Hi Mary. If weather is good, you can indeed visit all three mountains. Further plans could include boat trips over the lake, strolling through Lucerne, visits to the Traffic Museum and Glacier Garden, and so on.

Information on the Tell Pass, including a validity map and purchase options, can be found here. The two free travel days should be used for the longest most expensive trips. The timetable and the Titlis, Rigi and Pilatus website allow you to make such calculations. Since both Pilatus and Rigi are for free with a Tell Pass, it makes sense to spend the free travel days on these trips, especially if you combine them with boat rides. Extra services such as the rope park aren’t included; prices are listed at the Pilatus website I linked to.

Thanks for all of this information! Do you think using the Tell Pass would be better than getting a Swiss Pass?

    Hi Mary,

The Tell Pass seems to make most sense in your case, as you’ll be traveling in that region and not in the whole country.
