Hello travelers,

A tip for everyone who’s planning their day trips in Switzerland: the recently renovated cable car at the Stanserhorn near Lucerne is a world novelty. It’s a double deck open air cable car called “CabriO”. The top deck allows you to make the trip up the mountain in the open air.

A return ticket costs CHF 34 with a Swiss Pass, Swiss Flexi Pass, Swiss Card or Swiss Half Fare Card. The regular price is CHF 68.

Hi Irene! The cable car starts at Stans. You can plan your trip using the timetable, entering “Stanserhorn” as your destination. The valley station is named “Sans SthB” (= Stanserhornbahn). Have fun!
