Trail to Gelmersee lake from funicular closed?

    Hi everyone,

    This site has been an amazing resource, thank you! I’m trying to find out if the hiking trail from the Gelmerbahn funicular to Gelmersee Lake is still closed from a previous rock fall?

    Hi Jennifer,

    I can’t find any details on any hike there being closed. TO be sure there is a contact page on their website here (http://www.grimselwelt .ch/en/); it may be best to contact them directly.

    We were just there…no closures. The hike around Gelmersee was a true highlight of our trip.

    I only found an old web page at MySwitzerland that said there was a rock slide in 2016….they couldn’t inform me if it was cleared though. 🙁

    I’m itching to go there!
