Travelling from Geneva airport to Spiez via Zweissmann.. Would be good to stop en route for 1-2 hours. Any suggestions. Will have cases so needs to be practical or somewhere to store.

Also what temperatures should we expect at lower levels or when on trips (e.g. Schilthorn)

    Hi ssd1966,

That’s a beautiful route. In case you’re looking for details in the timetable: note that it’s Zweisimmen, not Zweissman. You can’t do that much in a 1 to 2 hour break along the way, but there are some nice towns you may want to visit. Montreux would be a nice option, as you can easily walk to the beautiful boulevard and enjoy the views over the lake. Gstaad, which is a pretty scenic town, would be another option.

Temperatures will vary greatly according to region and altitude. Generally, in mid-June it should be pretty mild down in the valleys (anywhere between 15 to 25 degrees Celsius). At higher mountain tops, temperatures will drop significantly and may well be near or below freezing point. Please review our sections on weather and seasons for more information.
