    Hi Ping,

Yes that itinerary should be fine…perhaps a little tight connecting from train to bus but Interlaken Ost is not a big train station.

Which 9 o’clock pass are you referring to? Is this a pass from the Interlaken transit authority?

    Regards,
    Lucas

    Hi Ping,

Are you talking about this 9 o'clock day pass? If so then yes it will cover that bus route with your half-fare card.

    Regards,
    Lucas

    Hi Ping Hui,

The bus at 23:05 is the last connection for the day to Grindelwald. And although you have 8 minutes to make the connection from train to bus, if you miss the bus for any reason, you will be stranded in Interlaken.

Is your accommodation in Grindelwald close to the station? If not, have you confirmed the availability of transport to your accommodation at that time of night? Does your hotel/hostel know what time to expect you?

If it were me, I would try to get to Interlaken somewhat earlier if possible, or else stay somewhere en route and complete the trip to Grindelwald the following day 🙂

    Hi Alpenrose & Lucas

Thanks for your info. I have booked the accommodation(haberdarre hostel) on 11th, when I look on the map it looks like taking me 15 to 20 min to walk from the station.

I was planning to take the bernina express on 11 and it will be arriving chur after 1900hrs. It’s that any alternative way that I can leaving from chur to Grindelwald?

    Regards

    Hi Ping,

No, if you can’t get to Chur before 19:00 then the route you originally planned is the earliest option.

Take a look at the SBB timetable here.
