Hello, we are travelling to Switzerland in September 2016 and are thinking of purchasing a Swiss Travel Pass for our 9 day stay. We will be staying in Kreins during our 3 nights in Lucerne and were wondering if our Swiss Pass will cover our train journey to and from central Lucerne? From Lucerne we are travelling to Wengen for 4 nights and then to Montreux for a further 3 nights. We will then will be travelling by train to Geneva Airport to depart for Portugal. Do you feel having a Swiss Travel Pass will be the most economical way to travel through Switzerland?

    Hi Leazie, welcome to MySwissAlps!

Please download the map to see what’s included in the Swiss Travel Pass. An 8-day Swiss Travel Pass seems to make sense (plus a ticket for your first or last day), but you need to have a list of all of your trips to determine whether there’s a better option. You may want to compare it with a Swiss Half Fare Card.

The links I gave you help to make a choice. Just post back here if you have any questions left after going through that information.
