    Hello,

Me and my wife ( from India ) would like to visit the following places:

    Interlaken

    Jungfrau / Zermatt

    Lucerne

    Mt. Titlis

We would be landing in Zurich on 8th November, 2015 and flying back on 12th November, 2015.

Can you help us in making the itinerary for this visit as we want to make the most out of it.

If the above places are not worth visiting, you may also suggest other places.

What kind of weather can we expect during that time and what type of clothes to carry.

    Thanks.

    Ashish

    Hi Ashish,

Welcome to MySwissAlps! A good place to start planning is myswissalps.com/plantr ip. You will find holiday packages there, as well as lots of tips to plan your own trip. Once you have a plan, feel free to post further questions here.

You need to know that November is low season. Some cable cars may not be operational, some hotels will be closed and the weather might be find but can also be rainy/foggy. But with good preparation and a bit of luck with the weather you’ll have a wonderful time anyway.

<<“Some cable cars may not be operational, some hotels will be closed and the weather might be find but can also be rainy/foggy.”>>

You can check the operating schedules for the cable cars in the Swiss Rail timetable:

    http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable

    For example,

Enter Wengen and Maennlichen for start and finish, for a current date.

The menu will open…pick Wengen ( which is the main station) and Männlichen LWM. (Männlichen is the German spelling with an umlaut over the “a”; if you enter Maennlichen it will return Männlichen. LWM is the name of the “railroad” ( service company that ryuns the equipment)

You will get a list of trip times.

Click on the “+” and more details will appear. You will have an option for a map. Click on “map”

You will see that the trip starts at Wengen main station, has a short walk to the valley station of the gondola car lift ( at Wengiboden), and then up to Männlichen.

Now, change the date to November 10 or 11.

You will get a “no service” notice.

The cograil trains run all year. Once per hour at that time of year.

I have had cold grey cloudy weather most times at that time of year, but I have aklso had clear sunny weather.

Plan on lower level activity if the clouds are thick.

    For example –

    or go to the cities.
