What is the usual temperature for these cities for mid-September? Is winter attire needed for the cities or only for ascending to the mountain tops?

    Thank you!

Hi zimmee! Generally, there won’t be winter temperatures in these towns yet, but as weather in the mountains is quite unpredictable you should be prepared for cold weather anyway. This goes especially for Kandersteg and Grindelwald, as they’re situated higher up in the mountains. The Meteoschweiz website may be of help.
