What is the typical weather like in the last week of September in and around Interlaken?

What are the chances of excursions like Jungfraujoch, Titlis, Pilatus and Matterhorn not being availbale because of extreme weather conditions in this time frame (Sept 15-Sep 21)?

    Thanks in Advance?

Hello samyakhd,This link http://meteonews.ch/en /Climate/M06734000/Int erlaken will show you long term average temperatures and precipitation in Interlaken. But weather in the Alps is unpredictable. In general September is a good month to be in the Jungfrau region, with a fair chance of good weather, but of course there are no garantees. There’s only a very small chance that none of your excursions will be possible because of extreme weather conditions. During your stay it would be best to plan your excursions according to the weather forecast.Have a nice time!

    Thanks for the prompt revert….

Can you kindly guide as to, what will be more favorable:

Booking tickets for Excursions in Advance from India or Visiting at the location on the day of the visit and buying the ticket on the spot?

You don’t have to make reservations for the trips you want to make (nor is it possible). Just buy your tickets on the spot.Have you looked into possible benefits of one of the Rail Passes http://www.myswissalps .com/swissrailpasses

Once you know more or less exactly what you want to do and where you want to go you can calculate which Pass will be best for you http://www.myswissalps .com/train/ticketspass es/practical/chooserai lpass
