Hello, I’m planning on buying a Swiss Rail Pass and i’m wondering if you can buy it when you get there or if it is easier to buy it ahead of time. Also if you buy it ahead of time how long would it take to mail to my home in Wisconsin? I leave for Switzerland the 18th…

    Hi mollyG35,

You can visit our Swiss Travel Pass page and see all the purchase option there: myswissalps.com/ swisstravelpass/ price. Buying ahead of time is cheaper and more convenient.

Unfortunately delivery through Rail Europe World (http://www.raileurope-world.com/pass/swiss-pass) takes up to 8 business days, so that’s a bit tricky in your case. Your best alternative is to purchase the pass through the SBB webshop: http://www.swissrailways.com. Their prices are the same as in Switzerland, but it will save you time as you can board your first train immediately after arrival. You can print their pass at home; they’ll e-mail it to you within 3 days.

Have a wonderful time in Switzerland!

For delivery options it only lists ..

TNT Express (Shipments cannot be delivered to PO boxes)
    — Regular registered mail
    — Swiss Express – please allow up to 2 days
    — airport_description

Is there an option to print it out after I purchase it?

    Hi mollyG35,

I’m not sure which website you tried, but I assume you ended up on http://www.swissrailways.com/ en/node/66? After filling out your address it lists the option “Online Ticket” after the physical shipping methods. That’s the one you need to have it e-mailed.

Did it work for you now?
