Is it still daylight for Bernina Express in Oct?

    Hi, Can you please advise if it is still daylight at 6pm in late October? We plan to catch the Bernina Express on 21st October from Tirana to Chur and I was wondering how it will be getting into Chur at 18:20 from perspective of viewing scenery and for getting to hotel in daylight. thank you.

    Hi Calypso,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps! Sunset will be around 18:15 until October 28. From the 29th it will be an hour earlier as that’s when Daylight Saving Time ends. Various parts of the route will be shady well before that time as the sun will be blocked by the mountains.
