Zurich-Lucerne Train

I’m trying to research how to get from Zurich to Lucerne with my rail pass, and the Rail Europe site says that for my date (June 14th) there are only trains with required reservations that include a transfer in Arth Goldau. However, if I look at dates earlier than June, for example May 24th, they site says that there is also a direct train between Zurich and Lucerne that runs about every half hour and is non-reservable. Will the non-reservable, direct train be available when I go on June 14th? Thank you.

    Hi ercarnahan,

You’d best use this timetable to find a train that suits your plans. There are plenty of trains all day long. Reservation is not required. The second step would be to either get a point to point ticket or a rail pass.
