Introduction

This easy hike primarily crosses forests, where you will pass a small lake. Just before the end point, you will walk along the lake of St.Moritz.

Transportation to Pontresina

Pontresina can be reached easily by car or by train from St. Moritz, Samedan or the Berninapass. There are bus services from St. Moritz, Celerina and Samedan as well. Will you be traveling to and from hiking areas frequently? A Swiss Pass or one of the other passes grants easy access to the entire Swiss Travel System (trains, buses, boats and mountain transportation).

Route description

The hike starts at the end of the parking lot of the railway station in Pontresina. The path runs parallel to the railroads to St.Moritz and Samedan for a short while. Then two underpasses lead you to the other side of the tracks where an ascending path through the forest starts. It leads to the small lake of Lej da Staz. You continue your way via a paved road down to the lake of St.Moritz.

Transportation from St. Moritz

There are trains to Pontresina and Samedan. There are bus services to these towns as well.
