Introduction

This route crosses a desolated area with rocks and mountain meadows. You can count on great views of the lakes of the Oberengadin.

Transportation to Murtel

Surlej can be reached by car or by bus from St. Moritz or Maloja. Take the gondola from Surlej to the Corvatsch and get off at the mid station of Murtel. Will you be traveling to and from hiking areas frequently? A Swiss Pass or one of the other passes grants easy access to the entire Swiss Travel System (trains, buses, boats and mountain transportation).

Route description

You start with a descent over a rock path. Then you ascend and cross a number of meadows. Finally you descend again in order to reach the gondola station of Furtschellas.

Transportation from Furtschellas

The gondola takes you from Furtschellas to Sils Maria. There are bus services from Sils Maria to St. Moritz/Surlej and Maloja.
