Many boats depart from Lugano, but you can board in various other towns as well. Lugano can be reached by train or by car.
How to get to the boat dock
There are many towns to board the boats. The main boat terminal is in Lugano, called 'Lugano Centrale (lago)'.
You can reach Lugano by car, but there is no parking directly at the terminal. It's best to reach Lugano by train, then walk down to the city center and the lake in 10 minutes. Or take the funicular from the station to the city and walk to the terminal in 3 minutes.

Dates of operation
Some boats operate daily, other routes are only available from 2 April until mid-October 2023.
