What is the best way for 2 to travel by train (like first class) starting in for 2 days Zurich then going to Lucerne for 2 days then 3 days in Inerlaken area from there we need to go to Basel. Thanks

There are various options, like the Swiss Travel Pass and Swiss Half Fare Card. In order to choose you first need to know all of your travel and sightseeing plans, so day trips with cable cars/mountain trains included. Then you can pick the best pass as explained here.

Hi Brad,

The Swiss Travel Pass is available for first class as well. Just visit any of the websites listed on myswissalps.com/ swisstravelpass/ price. The easiest option is to go to http://www.swissrailways.com/ en and print it at home (pick the delivery option called “Online Ticket”).

The Half fare card works on both classes.

That is how I use ine…2ndclass fr short trips, first class for longer ones.

I don’t know much about passes since I carry a long (resident’s) half fare card.
