Hello. My family will be traveling to Zurich  to Wengen then to Lucerne then back to Zurich and heading on to Munich then vienna. I just discovered today that travel agents can get a 75% discount on the Swiss travel pass? Where I was previously just going to get the Eurorail pass I think I may now benefit from the Swiss travel pass  for 5 days and then just the extra days for the Eurorail pass. Does anyone know of any other travel agent discounts that are given for excursions or hotel accommodations? Thank you in advance!

What do you mean by ‘travel agents’?  People who work on the railways?  Or (the more normal meaning) people who make travel bookings on behalf of customers.?

Hi. I mean people who book travel on behalf of customers.  Many hotels offer special rates so that travel agents will stay in their hotels( go on excursions) etc. , so they will go back promote them and book their own customers.  I know many of the major hotel chains in the  US that offer rates – Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, IHG…but I was curious if there are any Swiss/European hotels/companies that I may not know of that offer travel agent discounts.

    Hi Samantha_lsu,

I think you are referring to the AD75 form that grants travel agents a discount for the Swiss Travel Pass.  However this is intended for personal use only and not for further sale to tourists.

Take a look at our Eurail Global Pass guide below, you may find it could cover a lot of your needs in Switzerland anyways.  For ease, there is a summary of the ‘Swiss’ coverage:

If not, all about the Swiss Travel Pass here:

    Kind regards,

    Yolanda
