    Hello Myswissalps Team,

I admire the help you provide here. This is my first time planning to visit my dream land “Switzerland”.

Reading some of the advises given here and trip reports, has already given me some confidence . With your help I will have an exciting trip.

I will be staying in Switzerland for 5 days ( Aug 25- Aug 30). I will be coming from Paris and leaving to Venice.

    My points of interests are

    • Jungfraujoch
    • Mount Titlis
    • Rhine falls
    • Trummelbach falls
    • easy hike in jungfrau region ( suggestions please)
    • boat ride on any lake and explore a village along the lake ( suggestions please)
    • visit a castle ( suggestions please)

    My questions are:

    1. Can this all be done with one base or would it be better if I choose two ? Which cities or towns would be better.
    2. Which city Should I choose to enter Switzerland from Paris?
    3. Please provide suggestions for above mentioned activities.

    Thank you.

Hi Aaliya and welcome to MySwissAlps!

    1. Either Luzern or Interlaken would work for you. Take a look at train schedules to and from there destinations to get an idea of times.
    2. Whichever one the train takes you through :). Most likely you will travel via Basel, the train schedule link above will show you the fastest and most direct routes.
    3. Please find detailed hiking suggestions for the Jungfrau region here.
    4. If you base yourself in Luzern than a boat ride on Lake Luzern would work well. If you are in Interlaken take a look at Lake Thun or Lake Brienz.
    5. Here is a list of castles in the Interlaken region that are quite nice to visit.

    Regards,
    Lucas

    Day Sample:

An easy hike in jungfrau region is from Mannlichen to Kleine Scheidegg.

Go from Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen, go to Wengen, go to Mannlichen, walk to Kleine Scheidegg.

Go from Kleine Scheidegg by train to Jungfraujoch.

Travel back Jungfraujoch to Kleine Scheidegg to Grindelwald to Interlaken.

A very nice day (but only with very good weather and blue Sky )

    Greetings from the Netherlands, Brahms
