    Hi all

We were planning to reserve the Golden Pass train (Zweisimmen to Montreux route) in 1st class on 2 October , but unfortunately our preferred time is sold out.

I want to know if there is any difference in the panoramic windows of the 2nd class carriages compared to 1st class? I understand that the 2nd class carriage may be less roomier than 1st class, but will we be missing out on the panoramic windows in 2nd class? We don’t want to compromise on the views.

Finally, we are not planning to reserve seats on the legs from Luzern to Interlaken to Zweisimmen. Will that be a problem or do you think we will be able to get seats easily?

    Regards

    Vishal

    Hi Vishal,

No the windows are the same in both 1st and 2nd class on the Golden Pass panoramic trains.

There are VIP seats in 1 st class only that seat you facing forward on the first train car which is unique (however these carriages are out of service for renovations). 2nd class will be just fine for you.

You should have no problems traveling without reservations between Lucerne and Zweisimmen.
