We are planning to come Switzerland for a week on January (9-16) . We are arriving to Geneva from Lisbon by flight on Jan 9. We are staying in Geneva for a night and we’re planning to visit interlaken (Jungfrau, Lake Brienz) , and Glacier express , Lucerne, Engelberg , Zurich !! Is there any other places / towns a must to visit ? Also can we see the view at the Jungfrau in January because one of my friends went to Jungfrau & she said so cloudy that they didn’t have a chance to see ! Moreover, instead of glacier express , which panoramic view train be better ?thanks in advance

It’s too early to say what the weather in January would be like but if you’re visiting anyway, it’s best to come prepared and always plan ahead with a back up plan, just in case. In other words, be flexible 🙂 If you plan to go up the Jungfraujoch (http://www.myswissalps.com/ju ngfraujoch), check the weather forecast (http://www.myswissalps.com/we ather/forecast) and the mountain webcam before you go. Same if you are visiting Titlis (http://www.myswissalps.com/ti tlis).
If you are visiting Switzerland on a limited time, taking one of the panoramic trains is a good way to experience Switzerland’s natural beauty across different regions. The Glacier Express (http://www.myswissalps.com/gl acierexpress) is one of the more popular scenic trains but certainly not the only one. You can travel on the panoramic trains by purchasing a point-to-point ticket or with a rail pass. Based on your itinerary, I would personally recommend getting a rail pass. Predicting the weather near the Jungfau more than 24 hours in advance is an exercise in futility.
Best way to plan to see it is to stay in the area or nearby for about 3 or 4days.
You are more likely then have a clear day then.
Otherwise, trust to luck, or travel at a different time. September offers the most clear days on average.
