    Hello SwissAlpers,

Many thanks for the feedback provided earlier (the earlier thread was closed before I could thank personally, apologies for that) based on which I have added a day and revised my itinerary, attached here. I also have a few questions as listed below. Feedback and inputs will be highly appreciated. Thanks a ton.

    Questions:

    1. I plan to buy a 15 day Swiss travel pass as it is only CHF 100 more than an 8 day travel pass. It appears that I might end up spending more than CHF 100 on day saver passes and other costs for days 9 and 10. Is there any other cheaper alternative available?

    2. Based on my itinerary do you suggest to book in advance any of the places I intend to visit, like the cheese and chocolate factory, the Lavaux wineries? Which wineries would you recommend us to visit in the Lavaux region

    3. Which place do you suggest to buy Swiss chocolates? Both industrial as well as non-industrial.

    4. Which site do you recommend to buy Swiss travel passes and cellular sum cards at the cheapest rate? Can I buy the cellular cards upon landing as well if I can get better rates?

    Hello Sidgoog,

    1. If the price of the 15 day Swiss Travel Pass is not significantly higher, I would recommend it rather then the Saver Day Pass. With it you could visit for free of charge the Glacier Garden Museum in Lucerne (I have seen you listed it in your itinerary). Maybe a point to point ticket from Zurich to Lucerne would be a bit cheaper than a Saver Day Pass but then you lose the opportunity for the free museums and also the flexibility.
    2. If you would like to try any extreme sports like paragliding, skydiving etc. (I’ve seen it in your itinerary), you should make a reservation in advance. For a chocolate or cheese factory I would say it is enough if you check the opening times and visit them accordingly. The Lavaux Vinorama is a good choice if you would like to taste more wines from different wineries. http://www.lavaux-vinorama.ch. For smaller wineries please read this forum topic: http://www.myswissalps.com/fo rum/topic/how-do-visits-to-wineries-work-in-lavaux
    3. You can buy Swiss Chocolate in all food shop, I would suggest you to buy there, this is the easiest way. You can definitely buy them also at the factories with visiting centers, usually they have the biggest choice of their brand. For culinary tours check this page: http://www.myswissalps.com/ac tivities/culinarytours
    4. Here you’ll find the list of the online resellers of Swiss Travel Pass: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/price. Regarding the sim card I suggest you to read this: http://www.myswissalps.com/si mcard

I hope I have answered all of your questions. If you still have any please get back to us anytime for further input.
