May I know what is actually the difference between the Eurail Global Pass & Interrail Global Pass?

I am actually planning for a 16-day trip in June travelling to Italy, Switzerland & France. Which pass should I get?

Day 1-6: travelling around Rome, Florence, Venice & Milan

Day 7-11: travelling around areas in Zermatt (incl. Gornergrat) & Lauterbrunnen

Day 12-16: travelling in Colmar & Paris

Any advice? Thank you! Merci, Danke!!

    Hi Notfretete88,

As Arno sais in his post it depends on your COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE, which pass you can use. Check the Eurail Pass in your case.

Your itinerary is vague but seems do-able.

For travelling times in Switzerland you can use our timetable link:
    http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable

And for travelling from Switzerland to neighbouring countries and vice-versa use this link:

    Best,

I took a 22-day continuous Interrail ticket last May-June and thought it was absolutely excellent. In fact I easily got my money’s worth several times over even though I used it mostly in Switzerland! The lack of mountain transport discounts or free buses did not concern me, as I had carefully planned to use the astonishing rail network intensively and loved using ordinary trains on the Bernina, Golden Pass and Glacier Express routes.

One word of warning, though, about this and other sale offers by Interrail / Eurail. They do not tell you in the headline offer that they waive the right to free cancellation that you would have with an ordinary sale. When I pointed this out to customer services, the response was effectively that it is in the small print when you go through the purchase procedure. Something to bear in mind.

    Hi Marindap,

I am not sure where you are looking but this would seem to be the right link: http://www.eurail.com/en/eura il-passes/global-pass

If not, you’ll find Eurail Global Pass resellers here http://www.myswissalps.com/eu railglobalpass/price

Hope this helps with your purchase!

    Maria.
