Hi,

Visiting Switzerland 1st time end of May (bank holiday w.e) for 4days / nights (Fri to Tue) . Family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids 7 and 4).Please help with itinerary.

Flying to Zurich from London. Arriving 9pm on Friday night. Stay at Zurich airport and next day visit Mount Pilatus and lake Lucerne. Are train connections good to Mount Pilatus. Is it realistic to visit Mount Rigi same day? Or if we have seen Pilatus then Rigi can be missed. Please suggest.

Does Swiss pass cover trip to Mountains (like cogwheel, gondola ride etc included or not)

How many days experts would suggest to stay in Lucerne? We also want to see Interlaken, Jungfrau and probably Grindelwald or any other gem in that area. Happy to stay in different places / hotels.

For Jungfrau what is the best base? I heard Lucerne is quite far from Jungfrau? Return flight from Zurich as well late on Tuesday night but have to be in Zurich by 6-7pm latest.

Any suggestion most welcome.

I'd allow a week.

Since you don't have that much time, you might like to check a few links, as follows:

Please note that visiting the high Alps is better in clear weather, so that it is wise to spend 2-3 days near the Jungfrau to have a good chance for good weather.
