Hi Lucas, when I use a bus instead of a train with the Swiss Rail Pass, is that considered one days use of my pass?

    Hi Kris,

Which rail pass do you mean? If it’s the Swiss Travel Pass, you will get consecutive days of unlimited traveling. How much you travel, and which modes of transport you use, is up to you. It’s all included! (most mountain transport is discounted). Please see the linked page for all details about how to use the pass.

If it’s the Swiss Travel Pass Flex, you choose the travel days yourself. On such a day it’s again up to you how you use that day. You can’t travel on the remaining days, unless you buy a regular ticket.

    Hi Kris.

As Arno points out, the Swiss Travel Pass keeps running the clock for a fixed number of days, whether you use it or not.

    For the …Flex…. a bus is as good as a boat…or a train. 😉
