3 1/2 days in Switzerland – Lucerne & Jungfraujoch

    Hi

    My husband and I are travelling through Switzerland the first week of April. We are wondering if we should base ourselves at Lucerne to see the sights in the city and nature there as well as visit Grindelwald for a day trip and then Jungfau as a day trip.

    Or should we spend 2 nights in Lucerne and 1 night in Grindelwald (and a day trip to Jungfrau).

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi melfree and welcome to MySwissAlps!

    I’d try to base myself for at least one night near Jungfraujoch (a town like Grindelwald) as it cuts down the travel time to Jungfraujoch from Lucerne (4 hours one-way).

    You can plan all your trips in Switzerland using the Swiss railways timetable here.
