3 days in Wengen – combining activities

We will be purchasing the Swiss Travel Pass (8 + 2 days promo) for our 12 days in August and also the Peak Pass for our 3 days in Zermatt.

We have 3 full days in Wengen and need some suggestions on which hikes can be combined with our 3 day itinerary. For travels that are not covered by the STP, where do we purchase the tickets (at a ticket station or on the bus / cable car)? Cash or credit card acceptable?

Day 1 – Visit Schilthorn – Transportation from Wengen to Murren covered by STP. Murren to Schilthorn 50% off

Day 2 – Grindelwald First Cliff Walk and First Glider – Transportation from Wengen to Grindelwald covered by STP. Grindelwald Cable Car to First 50% off

Day 3 – Mannlichen Royal Walk (short hike to panoramic viewpoint) – Transportation from Wengen to Mannlichen 50% off

We plan to visit the above in the morning and would like to combine a short hike afterwards. Which of the following hikes should we do for days 2 and 3? We’re both in our 60’s and not into all day hiking, just a few hours a day.

1) Murren to Grimmelwald hike – do this after visiting Schilthorn on Day 1.

2) Grutschalp to Murren hike

3) Mannlichen to Klein Scheidegg hike

4) Visit Trummelback Falls and Staubach Falls
