Hi .. i will be there around end of May to beginning of Jun. And I travel from Asia. Interlarken is my first stop. With longer daylight 0700 to 2100 ( as what i Google) , is it advisable to attempt a Jungfraojoch, Schilthorn and Trummelbach Falls at moderate pa ce all in one day? Travel time calculation from web and with some time allowance seems doable. By the way, i dont do skiing sports at mountain tops … just sight seeing and spend some time at Ice Museum and Alpine sensation….

If i can complete visiting all these in one day, it frees me up for other visits. Any advice is indeed appreciated.

Hi 3bbben and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

If you say you’ve researched doing the Jungfraujoch and the Schilthorn in one day being possible timewise, this might be the case, HOWEVER, I don’t think it is recommendable accessing two so high peaks (nearly 3’000 meters and nearly 3’500 meters above sea level) in one day, simply for health and enjoyment.

The high altitudes tire you out, even by simply moving around and some people feel slightly unwell after a time, so I wouldn’t plan for too much more on these days!

If you life on higher altitudes back home or are otherwise used to higher altitudes you can ignore this input, otherwise I would try to spread the peaks on to two days and adding an activity on lower altitudes on each day, if. Check this link for inspiration:

    Hi Steph,

    Tks for input.

I merely based my assumptions on time taken for travelling and completely overlooked on our body adaptations and health issues.

No, I have no experience living on highlands or high altitude … and I will definitely take your advice into considerations … Tks and cheers.

    Hi 3bbben,

    You’re welcome!

You can still visit both places, just consider spreading it out onto two days.

    We’re here for further input.

    Cheers,
    Steph

    Hi 3bbben,

You can see the validity of the Swiss Travel Pass in below link, it’s valid for boat trips on the Lake of Geneva.
