Hi Sanjoy,
when are you coming exactly? Which month?
Some of the cable cars can be closed (usually around April and November), this is the reason I am asking.
You can find out how to get to these mountain tops at:
Also boats have a reduced schedule for wintertime. For boat trips at Lake Lucerne visit: http://www.myswissalps.com/boatlakelucerne
Thanks,

Hello Sanjoy,
”request you to suggest me places around Lucerne using our Swiss pass”
You seem to have the main ones covered but see http://www.myswissalps.com/lucerne/activities.
You have a nice itinerary mapped out.
From Lauterbrunnen a very nice circuit to do is to Grütschalp (cable car), Mürren (train), Gimmelwald (cable car), Stechelberg (cable car), Lauterbrunnen (bus). From Mürren you can easily visit Schiltorn (don’t miss The Thrill Walk at Birg) and even Allmendhubel if you have time (and it is operating). In between Stechelberg and Lauterbrunnen the bus stops at the Trummelbach Falls. Well worth a look.

Do not miss the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne with your son: http://www.myswissalps.com/museumoftransport. With your Swiss Travel Pass you get 50% discount on the entrance ticket. Also worth to check the list of museums where you can use your Swiss Museum Pass: http://www.myswissalps.com/swisstravelpass/details.
You might saw these pages already but it can be useful for other travelers too:
See the validity map of the Swiss Transport Museum at http://www.myswissalps.com/swisstravelpass/validity.

Lucerne is especially nice since the train station, boat docks, and Old Town section are all within 1-2 blocks of each other, providing plenty of options on any given day,. In town, we like the Old Town section, including the Chapel Bridge (be sure to look up at the paintings on the rafters), the narrow streets, plazas, and the row of riverfront cafes & restaurants. Plus, there’s a farmers market along the river Tuesday & Saturday mornings, and opportunity to walk up hill (5-10 minutes) to a portion of the old town wall & clock tower.
You’ve identified the most popular local mountaintops, Rigi, Pilatus, Titlis, but don’t forget the Stanserhorn, which you go right by on the way to/from Titlis. Like Rigi, it is “free” with the Swiss Travel Pass. Nice little walk around the peak above the plaza, and portions of the trail provide a great perspective on Alpine hiking – we saw ladders at one point. Us flatlanders don’t usually consider ladders part of a trail.
Check the weather cams before heading out to any of the mountaintops, then decide if you’re going or not. We left an overcast, drizzly morning in Luzern solely on the basis of brilliant sunshine at the top of Pilatus, and had a wonderful time. If you go there, be sure to take the “tunnel” walk beginning just off the plaza that winds around the peak and returns to the plaza. From one of the rock window cutouts, ponder why that solitary church is all the way up that mountain.
Any boat ride on Lake Lucerne is wonderful. Multiple boats run frequently, stopping at a variety of small towns. Hop off one place, explore, have lunch, hop on the next boat back.
Have a great trip!

Yep, that’s the one. I’ve only ever seen it from above. If you look closely, you’ll see hikers at the door and just to the right of the spire.
