In the first week of May, we will be based in Lucerne for 3 days of our trip (we prefer to stay in one location for the 3 days) and our 4th day will be in Zurich. We will be flying in and out of Zurich.

Does it make sense to see:

We will arrived to Lucerne the night before Day 1.

Day 1: Lucerne and Mount Rigi OR Mount Pilatus ( We’ve read Rigi has better views and of course it is included in the Swiss Travel Pass)

Day 2: Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe and Grindelwald

    Day 3: Interlaken and Bern

*Day 1-3 does not have to be in that order. We are just trying to see if it makes sense to see two different places in one day.

Day 4: Zurich our last afternoon/night

We will probably be buying the Swiss Travel Pass for the 4 days.

    Thank you!

    Hi JB2018,

    Your plan is doable.

There’s not much to see in Interlaken unless you have in mind doing a boat trip on Lake Thun or Lake Brienz.

If you haven’t decided yet, read here more about Mt. Rigi and here about Mt. Pilatus.

If you would like to know if the Swiss Travel Pass is the best option visit our page on how to choose the best rail pass. You’ll need to decide where you will be traveling to during your trip and do the math to compare point to point tickets vs. different rail passes.
