    Hello!

We would like to plan 4 days in Switzerland- starting in Montreux and ending in Zurich (to catch a flight to Lisbon) in about 2 weeks (second week of September).

Ideally we would want lots of beaitiful scenery and hiking in nature. We don’t want to be in cities too much, just enjoy the nature. We also don’t want to spend all our time travelling. We saw that a number of people recommended staying in Jungfrau region and doing day trips from there?

    please can you help?

Hi Pkapoor0504 and welcome to MySwissAlps!

Yes, for outdoor scenery and mountain trips you can’t beat the Jungfrau region!
Now, we don’t create itineraries here but we can help you create your own with some information about Switzerland.

It is best to start here:

If I were you I would look at staying in Lauterbrunnen or Wengen for at least 3 nights and maybe the final night in Luzern before heading to the airport.

Have a look through those links to see if the towns interest you. There is also a page on each link showing you want you can do in the nearby area as well as a hotel page for accommodation suggestions.

You will also want to look at rail pass options to get around – Have a look at our page on How to choose the best rail pass to start.

Once you have a rough itinerary of places you think you want to visit and stay at let us know and we can refine your plans.

Hopefully this is a good start for you!

    Lucas
