Hi,

After brainstorming our initial itinary www.myswissalps.com/fo rum/topic/5-days-switzerland-trip and sugesstions by Arno we have changed our plan to following -

Day 1 (15th Sep): Arrive at Basel at 4:30 evening . Train to Interlaken (base)

Day 2 (16th Sep): Travel to Jungfrau

Day 3 (17th Sep): Visit Titlis or Pilatus

Day-4(18th Sep):Travel through Golden Pass. ( Interlaken to Montreux!! , return via fast train !!)

Day 5 (19th Sep) : Train to Basel , visit basel

Could you please suggest any apartment near by train station within budget of 160-200 CHF per night . what would be better option Titlis or Pilatus for day-2 ? just to remind we are couple with 15 month kid , will travel using public transport with a child buggy/pram .

Thankyou in advance for your affort and time

Arno

Hi Ambrocks,

Titlis and Pilatus are both perfectly fine. Titlis is a bit easier to reach (Pilatus requires a short bus ride at one end) but also takes a bit longer to reach. Please see for yourself which you like best:

Or, pick based on the weather. It might be clear on one peak and not on the other. There are plenty of things to see much closer to Interlaken too if you feel this day would be too long with your child. A train ride from Wilderswil up to Schynige Platte, for example, which is free if you have a Swiss Travel Pass.

Apartments for less than a week are not very common. A hotel would be easier to find. Here are some options:

Ringgenberg is not as central as Interlaken: one train per hour to Interlaken, where you an change to other trains. But there's a bus too, and an occasional boat. In all, not bad if staying close to one of the train stations in Interlaken is not your top priority.

Note that they have two locations:

Though staying close to the one of the station is best but kitchenette is essential for us as we have to cook food for our kid . We think ringgenberg could provide us a direct connectivity to city as on will . though still looking around in city
