    Hello…

There will be 6 adults travelling and we will be in Interlaken MAy 12-16th…so we have 3 full days to explore the Lauterbrunnen, Wengen, Murren, Jungfrau areas from Interlaken. We all have some form of a Eurailpass–as some are staying longer. Plus one has Eurail Youth pass. Some of the highlights on our list include The First Cliff Walk, 007 Restaurant, Hiking to see the Eiger, taking a cog wheel train, the Jungfrau highest peaks.

We need help in planning 3 day trips to see these areas, plus any other suggestions. We like hiking, shopping, and good food/drinks!

Any suggestions will be most appreciated!

    Thank you. HERMI

    Hi Herme-

Trails above 2000 meters will be closed due to snow and snow slide blockages until mid- June. Much of the mountain transport does not function until about May 23rd-25th.

    Check this link:

You can take the cograil train the Jungfrau, and, the public transport up to Schilthorn.

Most likely, walk on the floor of the Lauterbrunnen Valley will be accessible. It is a much lower altitude than the spectacular hike from Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg which will not be open.

Best time to visit the area is between late June and late September.

There are other things to do in the Berner Oberland region:

    >> Some of the highlights on our list include … Hiking to see the Eiger

As Slowpoke noted, high altitude hikes will not be open when you are there.

However, you can view the Eiger from Kleine Scheidegg, and from the train between Grindelwald and Kleine Scheidegg.
