Hi, I’m traveling with my wife to Interlaken from Venice on 2 May. Had bought train ticket on SBB to travel from Venice. As it’s our first trip to Switzerland, on our honeymoon as well, hope you can advise us the following:

    1. Accommodation that is not too expensive. (We are on budget)

    2. Itinerary for our stay in Interlaken/ jungfrau region and Bern. Will be excellent if u can recommend some hiking trails also. (We are flexible except that we need to leave on 7 May to France from Bern.)

    3. We heard a lot about Swiss Travel Pass and Swiss coupons pass. Do you think it’s cost worthy for us during this short stay?

Appreciate your travel advices. Thank you.

    Jan

Hi Jan and welcome to MySwissAlps!

Let me point you to a couple pages to read through about what you are looking for to see if you find your answers, and if not please don’t hesitate to ask more!

    1. Accommodation options for difference budgets can be found on the information page for each city. Are you planning on just staying in Interlaken and Bern? You can search for other towns as well on our site. Do you have specific ideas of towns you want to stay in?
    2. Also on the town pages linked above you can find a list of activities you can do in the nearby area – both attractions and hikes that we recommend.
    3. Please see the Swiss Travel Pass and Swiss Coupon Pass pages for details. The Swiss Travel Pass covers almost all travel in Switzerland while you are here (so no need to buy individual tickets all the time). The Swiss Coupon Pass is a lot of 2 for 1 offers that you may indeed find useful.
