    Hi,

If I am buying 4 day swiss travel pass and day trip to Mt. Pilatus or Jungfraujoch online say from viator.com, how the 50% discount it applied?

Do I need to book the tickets (for boat, cogwheel etc) when I am in Lucern to get 50% discount of swiss travel pass?

    Regards,

    Satish

    Hi Satish,

You can read about Pilatus tickets and the purchase options here: http://www.myswissalps.com/pi latus/tickets. Viator does not sell those tickets for Swiss Travel Pass holders. They do sell the Swiss Travel Pass: https://www.viator.com /tours/Zurich/Swiss-Travel-Pass-4-Days/d577-14343P72.

If you prefer to buy the Pilatus tickets online, you can get them from https://shop.switzerla ndtravelcentre.com/#/e n/product/excursionPil atus (CHF 6 to deliver to any address in Switzerland, e.g. your hotel).

    Thanks Arno.

One more question: while booking tickets on shop.switzerlandtravel centre.com/, for childern < 16 option do I need to add one ( I am traveling with my 12 year old son). It says “Сhildren who own a Swiss Family Card travel free of charge and don’t need an additional ticket.” but also shows ticket price. See attached screen shots. How come? So whether I need to add 1 for my son or not?

If you got a Swiss Family Card for your child, which you should have done, then they don’t need a ticket.

Here’s a tip. You don’t need to buy tickets in advance, they don’t sell out. Just go to the ticket office at the Pilatus base station and show your Swiss Travel Pass and Swiss Family Card and they will sell you 2 tickets at 50% discount. You have to go to the ticket office anyway to get a bar-coded card to get through the turnstiles.

    Thanks rockoyster,
