I will use Interlaken as my base and will arrive September 8 and leave September 13. I would like to see: Jungfrau top, Shilthorn, First cliff walk, Titlus, Mt Rigi, Mt Pilatus, and Hader Kulm. Can this be done in the 4 days I will have and what would be a good possible arrangement to make the most of my time? I’m thinking of buying the Swiss Half Fare card and Top of Europe pass. Would these cards be a good idea for these sites?

    Hi Amundsen007,

With careful planning it is possible to include all the destinations on your wishlist into your itinerary.

From Interlaken you can arrange the following day trips:

    Sept 8: Arrive in Interlaken

Sept 9: Harder Kulm + Schilthorn

Sept 10: Jungfraujoch + Grindelwald (First Cliff Walk)

Sept 11: Day trip to Mt Titlis + Lucerne

Sept 12: Dax trip to Mt Pilatus + Rigi

    Sept 13: Depart Interlaken

This is just a suggestion. Feel free to make changes. You can use the SBB timetable to check train schedules and plan your routes. For more sightseeing options in Interlaken: http://www.myswissalps.com/interlaken/activities

Based on your plans, combining the Swiss Half Fare Card and Top of Europe Pass is sensible. To see if it’s the best combo, you can use this quick guide: How to choose the best railpass

Hope this gets you started on your itinerary.

    Regards,

    Anna
