    Dear Friends,

We are planning to come to Interlaken from 21st – 28th Mar’19. We would like to know which all places we can visit in Interlaken and nearby Interlaken?

I have a 13 years old son and 8 years old daughter. It will be great if you can guide which all places we can go and what all activities can be done?

I have taken car also on rent so i will be using Train as well as Car.

Your tips and suggestions will make our trip successful and memorable.

    God Bless you!

Hi Hakinbhura and welcome to MySwissAlps!

Interlaken, great choice! There is quite a lot to do for your family there. Please have a look at the following link for activities: http://www.myswissalps.com/in terlaken/activities

Please note that at higher altitudes around that time there will still be snow, so you should look carefully at type of activities and altitudes.

If you have time, Jungfraujoch is a memorable trip you can take: http://www.myswissalps.com/ju ngfraujoch

For timings and train connnections, you can have a look at: http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable

Once you have a better idea of your itinerary, you can have a look at maybe getting a rail pass for your stay: http://www.myswissalps.com/tr ain/ticketspasses/prac tical/chooserailpass

which can be combined with a family pass for your son and daughter: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw issfamilycard

I hope this helps and good luck planning your trip!

    Maria.

Day 2 : 22nd March (Friday) Mountain excursion of Jungfraujoch [Here i need to know which pass i should take for family as i need access to all Jungfraujoch for 1 day, other days i will be driving our car. Which pass will give access and will be economical. We are 2 adults and 2 kids 8 and 13 years old]

Day 3 : 23rd March (Saturday) Will drive from interlaken to Mt Titlis and on our way back explore Lucerne city.[any advice or tips on what all we can cover on the way which place shall we visit]

Day 4 : 24th March (Sunday) Will drive to Montreux and visit Chillon Castle Then will go to Gruyers and visit Cheese Factory and Broc for chocolate factory. [any advice or tips on what all we can cover on the way which place shall we visit]

    Hi,

Looking at your itinerary it seems very good and not too packed. I wouldn’t know what else to suggest as the activities you have on for each day will already take a few hours each to do. I wouldn’t add anything more otherwise you will have very busy days without much time to enjoy. In fact, most days seem fine to me except for Day 6…

The best way would be to determine how much time you have at each location by googling travel times (I use google maps when looking at car travel as it also provides times including traffic considerations).

For Jungfrajoch tickets, you can look at http://www.myswissalps.com/ju ngfraujoch

A useful pass for the excursions instead of point to point tickets could be the Swiss Half Fare Card: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isshalffarecard. That’s what drivers usually buy.

If you were to stay in the same region for a few days (which doesn’t seem to be the case) then a regional pass might be worthwhile: http://www.myswissalps.com/re gionalpasses

Here are some links to some of the destinations on your itinerary:

All the best for your trip!

    Maria.
