    Hi Steph

Thank you so much for your prompt reply. All the links you gave like the golden pass packages, boat trios information, etc. are very helpful especially the last one where I can see advanced timetable for all Swiss public transport. It really does help a lot in planning my trip. Looking forward as it’s my first time traveling to Switzerland.

Just to check.. how’s the weather like in Oct? I read it’s on average of 15 degrees so I won’t be bringing winter clothes.

    With warmest regards

    Hi Cmhin2011,

Glad we could be of help to you in the forum! I’m sure your trip to Switzerland will be amazing.

Regarding the weather, you can read more about the weather in October here: http://www.myswissalps.com/be sttimetovisit

Here’s a link to the weather section (including a link to the weather forecast): http://www.myswissalps.com/we ather

Regarding clothing, one thing to be aware of is that the Swiss landscape is located at different altitudes. So the higher up you go the colder it will get. Seeing some of the destinations on your itinerary you will certainly need some winter clothing as well as summer clothing, e.g. Zermatt, Verbier, Glacier 3000…

The weather on mountain tops can vary greatly, even in the summer. So best is to dress in layers 🙂

    Hope this helps!

    Maria.
