In September we will be traveling Switzerland starting and finishing in Basel. We are taking a river cruise afterward.

We will travel to Luzerne and Interlaken using them as a base camp to visit Titlis, Pilatus, Jungfrau, and Schilthorn.

Afterward we will travel and visit Montreux, Bern and returning to Basel.

We were thinking of getting the 8 days Swiss Pass then, I saw a forum about a Jungfrau Travel Pass that never came up in my research and I got confused again!

Can someone tell what pass would be my best choice for my 8 days travel and visiting?

Thank you in advance for you help

    Hi Afonso,

The Jungfrau Travel Pass is valid just for the Jungfrau Region – noted here with a PDF map. But it does give better discounts there then the Swiss Travel Pass.

Overall the Swiss Travel Pass should be your best bet as it covers Lucerne, Basel, Bern and Montreux. It is certainly the least complicated option.

You can also look at buying both the Swiss Half Fare Card along and the Jungfrau Travel Pass (for areas outside the Jungfrau region you then get 50% off). It probably only makes sense if you are spending a lot of time in the Jungfrau Region and using a lot of the transport options there.

Once you have all your trips planned out, you can compare passes and do the math on our website. How to choose the best rail pass.
