Hi,

I need some help with accommodation options, since we have a special requirement of needing a kitchenette.

Number of travelers: 2 (Aged 30)

Budget: Max 150 CHF per night

Lucerne: 22-25 Oct

Murren: 25-27 Oct

Montreux: 27-28 Oct

Geneva: 28-29 Oct

Mode of transport you’ll be using mostly: Train (we have a Swiss Travel Pass)

Any other wishes you may have: Hotel has to be within walking distance from station as we would need to carry our luggage

Also, do the hotels/ apartments allow us to store our luggage if we arrive before check-in time?

When you get to a city or village, locate the tourist office. They all have them with a big “I” logo. They keep a list of rentals available. This time of year, you can likely have your pick of some not taken.

A village is more likely to have your logistic requirements re: luggage. With a reservation, hotels will keep your bags on early arrival.

Near a city but not in it, is best bet.

Hi,

I think holiday apartments would be good fit. They have everything you need and are generally cheaper than hotels. As far as the luggage storage goes, you’d have to contact the apartment concerned.

In german they are called Ferienwohnungen, or FeWo for short and they make up a large segment of the accommodation business
