Hello Moderators, Experts and Fellow Travellers,

We will be back in beautiful Switzerland in 2 short weeks. I have a few last minute questions. I read on another website that the hike from Engelberg to Trubsee is very steep. However, am I understanding correctly from your description that if I take the cable car from Unter Trubsee to oberTrubsee I will bypass the steep section?

Which route is faster-Luzern to Alpnachstad by boat or train?

Does the Swiss Travel Pass cover Luzern to Pilatus, Luzern to Rigi Kulm and Luzern to Engelberg (then 50% discount from Engelberg to Titlis)?

    Thank you for your help.

Golden round tour for half day

explore lion monument and old city

These will take your one day.

Go to Interlaken and grindelwald/jungfraugh. It will take your almost 1 day. Mt titlis is half day.

Pilatus and Rigi are both free with the Swiss Travel Pass.

The train will be faster than the boat.

Yes, the steep part will be bypassed during that hike.

    Have fun!

Thank you so much! As you have suggested in the past, we will check the weather forecast in the Luzern area closer to our visit and plan accordingly. So excited about our third trip! Your suggestions and advice have been invaluable.
